A community pharmacy, run like one

Who we are

We’re the pharmacy in the shops on Fitzwilliam Road, and we work the way a local pharmacy should. You walk in, you talk to a pharmacist, you get an answer. There’s no ticket number and no waiting room — if the dispensary is busy, we’ll tell you how long it will be.

Most of what we do is ordinary and important: dispensing scripts, answering questions about medicines, helping people work out whether something needs a doctor. Alongside that we vaccinate, run health checks, set up dose administration aids, and sit down with people to go through everything they’re taking.

Pharmacist-led care

Our pharmacists are trained immunisers, which means a flu shot or a COVID-19 vaccination is a booking with us rather than a referral and a wait. Under the New South Wales pharmacist prescribing framework, community pharmacists can also assess and treat a defined set of conditions without a GP referral.

That framework has limits, and we work inside them. If what you need sits outside a pharmacist’s scope, we’ll say so plainly and help you get in front of the right person. Being useful sometimes means telling you we’re not the answer.

MediADVICE is a network of independently owned Australian pharmacies, built over thirty years on the idea that community pharmacists can run strong businesses without losing what makes a local pharmacy worth walking into.
